About Us

The LTEO programme is funded and operated through the Climate Change Division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The network of scientists involved in the programme come from scientific institutions and organization across the country. Research at each site is coordinated by a regional institution with easy access to the site or an institution or research group that already have significant research presence and facilities at the site. Institutions for the national-level scientific effort and the site level logistics have been appointed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The national programme is coordinated through a Coordination Cell in the Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science.
