The Long-Term Ecological Observatories (LTEO) program was launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change division in order to study climatic changes and effects on different ecosystems over time and understand the drivers of the ecosystem change across different landscapes. LTEO was envisioned as a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional activity across six major biogeographic zones in India.

This brochure contains detailed information on WHY, WHERE, and WHAT the LTEO program is all about.
